It is an understatement to say that the last two years have been unprecedented. But now that life is becoming more normal we can start to renew our support for the Friends of Hopwas Wood.
We have been unable to formally hold an AGM over the last two years and it may seem that as a member you have been forgotten. That is far from the truth and over the last two years I am pleased to say that there have been no major issues regarding protecting the wood.
The postings on the web site have been updated as when appropriate particularly with respect to the Whittington range firing times and closure of the woods to the public.
We are now at the time of year when we should hold our AGM and this has been arranged on MONDAY 25th. APRIL at the COTON AND HOPWAS SOCIAL CLUB commencing at 7.45 p.m. The club is situated at the end of School Lane, Hopwas. Whilst there are no major issues to discuss there will be a presentation of the accounts and we do need to elect the committee and agree the subscriptions for the coming year. It is also an opportunity to share any concerns that you may have over the current status of the woods and the future of the Friends.
I hope you are able to attend but if not I would appreciate it if you could let me know if you wish to continue as a member and if there are any matters that you would like discussed.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me either by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone on 07773971077.
